Scholarly activity at UTSW has been at an all time high. However, we have had trouble demonstrating and quantifying this to incoming applicants.
In this regard, we would like everyone to start uploading research work on Medhub. Please log any projects/ regional or national conference attendance/ abstract/ poster/ oral session/ publication of any type. Hopefully with everyone’s participation we will be able to compile and present at our recruitment events. This information is also used to determine the ‘Most published resident’ and ‘Best paper’ awards for the outgoing class.
Please take a few minutes to log your scholarly work since the beginning of residency, and keep adding over the coming weeks. Please send us pictures of yourself at conferences or links to your papers- we would love to post on our twitter/ facebook pages and disseminate your work.
Steps:
- Log onto Medhub
- Click on the “Portfolio” tab next to the home tab
- From the drop down menu, you can select anything ranging from a quality improvement project to a journal manuscript.
- Fill out the “portfolio entry” and click submit
- Please make sure that “Allow program direct and Faculty Mentor to view this entry” remains checked.
*If a manuscript is still in the process of publication, please do not upload until it has been published (some journals are strict about embargo) but you can let the Dr. Kazi + Chiefs know.
